Amazon, like Apple, is apparently about to launch in the payments from mobile devices in traditional stores. According to the Wall Street Journal the e-commerce giant would like to introduce a system of payment in the stores based tablet Kindle reader combined with credit cards.
blog TechCrunch shows in addition that Amazon is also working on a system of money transactions based on the web, a potential competitor of PayPal.
The Colossus of Seattle would be working on a dual platform for payments. First, as reported in the online edition of ??WSJ , Amazon by summer would aim to provide a system of traditional shops to check out the goods-based Kindle tablet combined with a reader of credit cards and possibly other services. Project that would leverage Gopago start-up specializing in such systems, purchased last year. Since such an operation, the company could “earn” information on consumer habits of the people, especially considering that, in the United States, 90% of the trade is still conducted in traditional stores.
PayPal, eBay, born as online payment system now has an application for smartphones and different options to pay in stores. In recent days, other rumors have indicated that Apple is poised to introduce a payment system via iPhone also stores other than its Apple Store. The challenge by Amazon, however, concerns also the front “web.” According to TechCrunch, the company is working on a solution based on transfer payments between people via the internet.
