If you have a Kindle dating back to before 2013 be prepared for a major update in a hurry. In fact, you have a few hours before your Kindle remain offline , the deadline is tomorrow March 22, 2016 .
A leak reported by Amazon a few days ago would make Kindle older (see list at end of article) unable to access the network via Wi-Fi , cutting out all the services such as Kindle store, related services and all the books on your cloud. Virtually everything for which you purchased your ebook player.

1. Leave Kindle in office during the upgrade.
2. Connect to Wi-Fi.
3. From the initial screen of the Kindle, select Menu or tap the Menu icon, and then select Sync and search elements.
4. Leave Kindle in office and connected to the Wi-Fi network during the night or until the upgrade is complete.The software update will be downloaded and installed automatically, even if the device is in sleep mode. While the process is completed, the device may restart several times. After the update, a confirmation letter will be sent to the device and you can find it in your Kindle library.
If the update is not made within 22 March 2016, the device will no longer be able to Kindle access services, nor to receive the update wirelessly. In order to regain access to normal services Kindle, you will need to perform the update manually.
