A new Kindle is coming. The rumor was followed by an official confirmation signed directly by the owner of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, “a new Kindle is practically ready. Eighth generation. All the details next week. ” Amazon is therefore ready to re-launch the reader E-book that revolutionized the industry: born as “the iPod of books” (these declarations of intent Bezos before starting the digital publishing adventure), Kindle has confirmed a towing unparalleled in the industry and with a new revival aims to further distinguish itself for the quality offered in the experience of reading.
the e-readers are relatively simple devices, but Amazon has shown (although prodding a increased competition) of being able to offer more and more readers good reasons to update your device and stay within the Amazon galaxy. With the Paperwhite edition, for example, has further improved the Display Quality , more than any other factor that affects the relationship between the book and the reader. Nothing transpires instead by Bezos about the new revival, although a few well-placed suspicion has already taken the way through the rumor of the day before.
In particular, the new version may put part of the responsibility of operating autonomy to ‘interior of a rechargeable housing. This may allow a further thinning of the device, as well as a further dilation of autonomy than the already respectable levels achieved with editions on the market. As revealed by the Wall Street Journal, the new Kindle would be developed under the code name of “Whiskey”, while the corresponding housing would be called “Soda”. The new mix “Whiskey & amp; Soda” will be served in the next few days and will have two objectives: to push the old users to update their own devices, and convince new readers to experience the electronic ink taste.
additional housing would also be in development: bring a dowry of solar cells, with which produce a photovoltaic effect through which recharge the device. This last idea would, however, not yet ready for the general public and Amazon could therefore keep the surprise in the cylinder for a future occasion. In light of the scarce device consumption and long pause times between enjoyment and the other, a case that can draw energy from the sun could make it virtually perpetual charging, potentially canceling the autonomy borders: under the right environmental conditions in short, it could no longer serve any charge or nearly so.
Nothing is given to know about the design of the new device, so far substantially confirmed compared to prior versions: in this sense Kindle could confirm their own lines extremely spartan, relegating every investment made to screen quality and all ‘ battery life : these are the points on which the Bezos team identified the levers on which to build empire e-book.
