Here’s how to transform the two e-reader sold on Amazon in the tools of work, even for lawyers
Editorial – Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite are the 2 tools digital read-out (e-book reader) probably the most sold in the world and are both part of the “machinery” of the house of Amazon.
this Is the device lightweight, ultra-thin and extremely practical, which differ from each other for a few small functions. A: the screen. The “Paperwhite” Kindle is equipped with a backlit screen (which will not damage your sight).
it is possible, though, to turn the device apparently created for the study and for entertainment on the two instruments in their own work powerful and functional? Let’s look at it together, first passing in review the main features of the two products.
Features and functionality
Kindle Kindle Paperwhite are equipped with a screen 6″ touch and anti-glare. Have a weight between 161 and 205g (depending on the version). The technology used is that of the electronic ink, which in addition to not strain your eyes because it is identical for all the ink on paper, allows you to not consume battery, so much so that a charge is able to provide several weeks of using (this is because the battery is “called in” only during the navigation and that is when the device receives input, not during the reading).
The price difference between the 2 devices is about 60 € (69,99 euro for the Kindle and 129,99 euros for the Paperwhite) and it is given mainly by the density ppi of the screen (167 ppi of Kindle against the 300 of the Paperwhite) and from the backlight of the same. The electronic ink is in fact incredibly comfortable and perfect to not strain your eyes, but at the same time, it becomes unreadable in the dark (just like the ink of a book a real one!). Amazon has solved the problem by introducing Paperwhite, the same technology that Kindle classic, with the addition of a backlight, lightweight, and designed to minimize the hassles of data from the reading. Both the devices are equipped with free Wi-Fi and for the Paperwhite, it is possible to also opt for the 3G access.

The two Kindle can “carry” really thousands of books within them and the files are available directly from the device through the Kindle Store official Amazon… (here is the two links for those interested to purchase: Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite), but there is a but: the Kindle are also excellent “reader” of the text files and documents (all the pdf!) and allow you to take with you to work the same amount of material – ready to use! – that to be printed will occupy a lot of space. Just think of the 4 codes in the PDF (downloadable free of charge on our everyday life: the Civil Code – Civil Procedure Code – Penal Code – Criminal Procedure Code).
And for a lawyer, these tools are particularly useful because, in addition to the fact that can replace the traditional briefcase to carry records and documents, allow you to quickly refer to, even e-book legal that are increasingly spreading in the Italian market.
Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite are used as working tools also enable you to create and share notes, use underlines, and bookmarks, and, last but not least, you can enjoy comfortable tools of output, through the simple touch of the desired word, allow you to search for it on the English vocabulary, or Italian, or even on Wikipedia.
Only problem? The impossibility (for the moment) to use a calendar internal to the device, which is useful in case you are among the many users of tools such as Google Calendar and the like. The choice is yours!
