The delivery of the Kindle to students of the boarding school
It is said that little is done in Italy to light the spark that sets off the passion for reading in boys.
But something is done. Amazon, for example, “playing” with the possibilities offered by new technologies such as eBook readers, today donated 25 Kindle students of the boarding school Vittorio Emanuele di Cagliari who participated in the project “Xanadu – Community stubborn.” Readers
born in 2004 in Bologna, Xanadu is a private project for students of higher schools throughout Italy that appears with the aim of putting in communication thoughts and reflections of the boys of age throughout Italy between 13 and 16 years.
To ignite passion for reading, during the visit this morning the students of the boarding school at the customer service of Cagliari, donated 25 Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, the slim, lightweight eReader equipped with built-in light screen allowing you to easily read both in direct sunlight, either in the dark.
“This donation is part of the Amazon program in the Community, a number of initiatives through which Amazon supports local entities such as schools and associations through the donation of products,” the company said in a statement.
