Amazon updates the home screen of the Kindle – Webnews

Amazon will release in the coming days, a substantial upgrade to its Edition . The new version of the software will enable better management of its digital library and will simplify the purchase of other ebook from the store. The various operations can be performed easily from the home screen that the company has renewed with this update.

After you install the update, users will see a home screen more personal . At the top left are displayed the latest ebook, while the right side has been added to the new section “My Reading List”, which lists the title and author of the books in the Amazon Wish List, as well as extracts downloaded. At the bottom, however, is to show Recommended ebook , the best sellers and books read by friends on Goodreads. The list of suggested titles changes every time you turn on your Kindle, so you always find new ebook.

A list of recommended books is generated by means of a system that includes a choice of genres from user and the assignment of a rating to the ebook already read or those who want to read in the future. In the top bar it was added a button that allows quick access to the airplane mode , the cloud synchronization, the ambient light level and in all other settings.

The update allows finally to share favorite books or phrases with friends directly on Facebook and Twitter. Recipients can then preview within the browser on PCs, tablets and smartphones, without logging in to Amazon. The update will be released for Kindle Paperwhite (2013 and 2015), Kindle (2014) and Voyage (2014).
