So the Kindle Paperwhite becomes water resistant to 64 meters – Gizmodo Italy

If you read one thing you can not do without the Paperwhite Kindle is the best e-reader out there. But how to improve something that already touches perfection? Easy, in this case, making it also suitable to be used in places not just dry. Making it waterproof, in fact.

A gadget maker specializing in accessories waterproof, Waterfi, has decided to meet your summer needs and provide a waterproof protection to allow you to use your Kindle Paperwhite also by the sea or by the pool without fear of ruining it with some splash of water. This is not a classic messenger bag, but a treatment that the company makes to the device to make it waterproof. It is assumed that the treatment in question is waterproof and therefore not in any way impairing the appearance of the e-reader.

But after being passed from the hands of Waterfi, the Kindle will not only be resistant to accidental splashes : you can soak up to 64 meters deep, a possibility that will appeal to technical divers accustomed to long and boring decompression stops. Or so says the company. It would have to be tested to be sure of so much resistance. Who is proposed for the test?
