Amazon Kindle ‘Voyage’ display with 300ppi sighted network – HDblog (Blog)

After a period of apparent calm here Amazon is preparing to update its successful series of eReader Kindle , from the pages of the Japanese division (page available in cache ) get the most important information on the new ‘ Voyage ‘, also confirmed by other sources.

First of all, we have a first image unofficially leaked by the alleged user manual , proposed in the opening, but also the certainty that the display will again be 6 inch with higher resolution (unknown) and density of 300ppi (the Kindle Paperwhite he boasts of 212 pixels-per-inch). Further reduced in size and thickness, from 206g to 186g of current passing Voyage and just 8mm profile (9.1mm for Paperwhite), the real news should be a new mechanism to turn pages by pressure sensors placed on the side frames.

The new Kindle Voyage will be available in both Wi-Fi and with 3G at a cost of 186 and 249 respectively € , which means that even Amazon decided to significantly raise the bar and offer a more valuable device. We do not know much about the choice of materials and the possible sealing of the body, a feature likely because the competition (Kobo) gave just unveiled the model H2O on the same band price.

There is already also a debut date, fixed for November 4 next. Amazon has decided not to comment for now this leak, even if we find it difficult to think that the early publications on the Japanese site have been random. We do not know if Amazon is preparing a media launch at this very hour, the fact that Kinde Paperwhite is not currently available on Amazon.it and the message that accompanies the section dedicated to the purchase does not leave much doubt:

Currently not available.

We do not know when the item becomes available again.

I do not even know if the Voyage replace Paperwhite or simply join the family, expanding your portfolio Amazon. We hope so, even in the name of the affordable cost of the ‘old’ models with light perimeter.
