Amazon Echo, announced in November 2014, is a speaker that performs various operations in response to the voice commands , as playback of music streaming, setting alarms and search for a variety of information on the Internet. Recently added the ability to play Jeopardy and, in the future, drivers will be able to manage the devices in the smart home from inside your vehicle. The same technology text-to-speech used for reading Wikipedia articles can now use Echo and Alexa for listen ebooks .

Amazon has listed five voice commands that can be used for the reading Kindle ebooks bought, borrowed and shared . You can start reading, pause, resume, go back and forth. Securities that can be read from the server staff are displayed in a new section of the app Alexa. The service is Free , so there are some limitations such as the inability to jump to a specific chapter of the book. For this feature, you must subscribe to the Audible service.

In the coming weeks is expected to be announced a version of Mini Speaker smart. It is unclear, however, if the reading of the ebook will be among the features.
