Amazon launches Kindle Reading Fund, the initiative to promote digital reading – Ubergizmo IT (Blog)

The vendor will work with the various partner organizations to expand the digital readout providing the necessary equipment to organizations such as hospitals, schools, libraries, PTA and other non-profit organizations . Amazon is also working with Worldreader to support reading programs in countries development.

The Amazon partnership with Worldreader will see the e-commerce giant donate thousands of e-reader to developing nations, obviously providing the related e-book. The company also donated thousands of tablets and e-readers to students and teachers, and is working with the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to increase interest in reading for parents and children.

The Reading Kindle Fund enables the company to accept the donation requests from 501 organizations and schools in the different community. Organizations interested in participating in the project may submit their request to participate via this link.
