Kindle in Motion: Amazon testing animated ebook | Video – HDblog (Blog)

Amazon introduces a new format for animated ebook called Kindle in Motion . The idea is to insert animations similar to the GIF format in certain pages of the book to enhance the reading experience. An example is the animated cover, the author’s signature that fades the last page, the Video clips to intensify certain situations and Dynamic rendered backgrounds with just mentioned effects. All things that the user can disable to return to have a standard ebook.

There are 6 Kindle ebook in Motion in the catalog of Amazon ( also Kindle Unlimited), all in English. To activate their content serves a tablet Fire HD or HDX or the ‘ Kindle app for iPad, iPhone and Android . Amazon has not yet submitted the format so these are preliminary information. We do not know if extended to all Italian securities and if there will be changes in the animations and content. At this time the Kindle ebook in Motion can weigh up to 400 MB, and only work in portrait mode.
