Kobo grows well in France: it will be a real alternative to the Kindle? - Planet eBook

Kobo or Kindle. Which to choose and why?

To follow the trend of the market and have our preferences, or maybe just include those of most people, we begin with a summary to compare the two products .

If we talk about object-reader and the first difference between Kobo and Kindle is to be found in aesthetics: in general (ie without analyzing all the individual models representatives of the two, because they would be too many) the design of the Kindle is less appealing than the Kobo. Where the white model, with quilted back and colorful, for example lilac, I like much more than the classic black. (But this is a very personal first opinion.) Let the features: the general readability (contrast, definition) me seems slightly better in Kobo, as well as some aspects of the screen that shows the Kobo: the Tatch, although this is not always a positive note. The prices of the two are quite competitive, you go on a band from 79 € to 109 depending on the model.

Kobo also pushes a lot of integration with social network and the so-called “social reading”, that is, the ability to comment and share live what we are reading with our friends on Facebook and Twitter.

And also this can be a value, such as a defect, depending on who wields the ereader. So, in hindsight, the differences are many, but much does the reader.

Perhaps for this reason, in some countries, the sale of either is much better than the “direct competitor.” Why do you try to captivate and attract the reader’s attention.

One example is certainly the situation in France where there are firms willing to fight the power of Amazon as Carrefour and Bookeen . Or as the case Fnac . Lately Kobo has in fact concluded in France an agreement with Fnac to sell Kobo by Fnac , a version of the Touch-cut for the French market.

Just

to support the international expansion the manufacturer has increased the frequency with which updates the firmware on the Kobo Touch , which is the software that allows the device to operate. The firmware update is a sometimes overlooked aspect in the purchasing decision, he deserves more attention, because upgrading the software of the device means fix any bugs or implement new features that enhance the user experience.

Just for this

therefore prefer the Kobo to the Kindle?

Try it for yourself …
