Windows 10 Anniversary Update, there are problems with Kindle and … – HDblog (Blog)

In the last hours are increasing reports of two problems that afflict desktop systems updated with Windows 10. Anniversary Update Here are all the details known so far.

Kindle – In many reporting system crash ( blue and reboot screen) when attempting to connect your Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Voyage computer. The precise modalities of the crash are not yet well understood: for someone happens with USB 3.0 ports and not with USB 2.0 ports, others vice versa, and still others in both cases – more naturally those who do not happen.

Likewise, none of the temporary solutions proposed so far seem to work universally for all; the most likely to succeed, in any case, they would connecting the eReader to your computer before starting the system. At the time Microsoft has not yet ruled on the matter, but the thread on Microsoft forums (HERE the largest so far) on the case are quite animated and followed, a sign that it is not an isolated problem.

Powershell – the latest update of Windows 10 AU, published last week, has caused malfunction of some Powershell commands. Microsoft has already reported to be aware of the problem, and will be resolved with the next system update due for release 30 August .

Meanwhile you can temporarily solve uninstalling the update “offending” ; you can do the same PowerShell (make sure it is launched with administrator privileges) with the following command:

  • wusa / uninstal / kb: 3176934
  •
