Kindle Touch 2014: conflicting opinions on the screen – HDblog (Blog)

The new Kindle Touch 2014 from 59 euro is receiving positive reviews. At the same price as the previous one, offers a player faster, twice the memory, a touchscreen display and easy management of the entire user interface. In short: it contributes to raising the average level of the ebook reader and gives a shock to the market for low-cost readers. But its display is better than the last?

No, according to many of the opinions online. Reading here and there, the international community (Kindle 2014 is available from 4 days – even in Italy) there are many little positive comments on the quality of the panel chosen by Amazon. Kindle Touch 2014 uses a display E-Ink Pearl 800 x 600 pixels, just like the basic Kindle and Kindle Touch last year of 2011.

It is also the same type of panel touchscreen, still at Infrared . Why, then, should be no difference between the new and the old? Hard to say, although slight changes in the rendering of the characters and the production of panels may lead to changes in the yield on the screen. Under review by Len Edgerly, from minute 1:50 then you have a comparative Kindle.

photo comparison does not help to understand. From the-ebook-reader.com you see below, there is an improvement of the blacks and the background (now lighter) than the old Kindle Touch (top left) and also compared to Paperwhite 2012 (at the top right ) but at the same time most of the characters faded the previous Kindle with buttons (bottom left). It is a picture that refutes the opinions in the network? Ni, because photographing the E-Ink is a company maintaining a constant light just enough to move the lighting of 20 cm in order to have anything effect.

Comparisons picky and speeches like these will make at launch of any eReader, but if there are models that put all agree (as Kindle Paperwhite 2013, and the new Kobo Aura H2O, real improvements of the above) others continue to talk to him for weeks. How to fix? With a match live. We will try to tell you about our Kindle Touch 2014 a next full review . In the meantime, let us know if you notice any other differences.
